To the Doc's Office We Go...

"A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on."  - Carl Sandburg

Never in my life have I been genuinely excited to go the doctor's office.  But, never before in my life have I been preggers.  Knowing that I will get to hear my baby boy's heartbeat and, during some appointments, see his sweet self brings such anticipation that was otherwise reserved for vacations, Christmas, or birthdays.  It's also really fun to see my husband Davis' face light up at seeing his baby boy on a screen.

Today, we had our mid-pregnancy appointment/ultrasound.  We were delighted to find out our baby's organs and development is that of a normal baby.  He even measured two days ahead!  He was super active today, touching his toes and waving.  We already knew the baby was a boy because at 15 weeks, we went to 4-D Sneak Peek in Jackson, Tennessee for an elective gender determination ultrasound. I was super impatient and in a panic to know his gender, so luckily, Davis obliged and my momma, Davis' mom, my sister, and my niece all joined us for his big reveal.  Today, the ultrasound tech did confirm he was still a boy and nothing had fallen off.  :)  Baby Boy has a name, too...  Dennis Davis Bond, III, or Tripp for short.

He wants to be a skeleton for Halloween this year.

Seeing Tripp just makes everything so much more real.  I know the next four months are going to fly by, and that's okay because I'm ready to meet my little fella!

Sweet, Sweet Profile...   *You can see his hand, too!

  1. The next 4 months won't fly by as quickly as you think once you get more & more uncomfortable, but it's all beyond worth it! Love those u/s pics -- I always looked forward to my preggo checkups!
